I love a dirty martini, and so do you. One of the most frequent questions I get is in regards to the proper mix for making the perfect dirty martini recipe. As simple as this recipe is, the quality of the ingredients makes a world of difference. Start with the best and you'll end up with a mouth watering martini you'll savor. Here we go.
4 ounces of good vodka (we love Grey Goose, Chopin, Absolut...)
1 ounce of olive juice*
1/2 teaspoon of dry vermouth
Add the vodka, 1/2 of the olive juice and the vermouth to a shaker full of cracked ice and shake like mad. Strain your martini into 2 frozen martini glasses and top with the remaining olive juice.
*You have got to use a good quality olive juice - we sell some great stuff. If you are using juice straight from a jar of olives, they have got to be the best quality. By far, the best olives that we've ever tried are stocked by Williams Sonoma...Id give you the name of the product, but our cupboard is bare.
Cheers.
