...this is a question that I frequently get, and as I often mention, it really depends on my mood.
I've decided that I needed to finally answer the question once and for all, so here goes:
- Absolut Peppar vodka - super shaken, super dirty
- Hendricks gin - with a slice of cucumber and a twist of lemon
- Polstar cucumber infused vodka - good luck finding this. If you do...email me and I'll be happy to send you some funds to disclose your source!!!
- Divine vodka - it's hand crafted at the Round Barn Winery in Michigan, and it's amazing (more about these fabulous folks to come soon...they are very cool)
- In the number 5 spot, Im torn between Grey Goose and Chopin*
*Yeah, I know...I hear it all the time, "Martiniguy, why would you be in love with a vodka that is so commonly available???" My answer is commonly, "For the same reason I love a well done carpaccio; because it's great!" Nuff said?
Listen, we are not snobs here, but we have tasted more vodka, gin and other elixirs than most of the civilized world combined. The bottom line is that (like wine selections) they have to appeal to YOU...if you like it, thats all that really matters, right?
Cheers!
My favorite vodka is also Grey Goose. I agree, good taste is good taste!
Can't wait to see some of the submitted pics from martini/cocktail parties....
I'll stay tuned...Bob
